Our mission is to empower activists who share our vision of change, enabling them to campaign and educate alongside us.
We are committed to mobilising and inspiring others to raise awareness and bring about lasting change.
Part of our mission is to teach people how to be kind and compassionate to animals and take care of them responsibly. We believe that education is the key to change and we now have an education centre in Cambodia, which we set up in 2021.
It is not part of any country’s culture to treat animals inhumanely. It is unacceptable that beloved pets are stolen to be made into fur and to be used for so-called ‘medicines’.
Festivals such as Yulin glorify the torture of loyal and loving companion animals.
No meat industry is without cruelty, but what separates this meat trade from others around the world is the extreme level of brutality and pain that the animals suffer.
Such cruelty is not culture. It is abuse on an industrial scale. We believe that all animals deserve respect and compassion. Thankfully, the governments in many of the countries in which we operate are finally taking note of the urgent need to end the dog and cat meat trade.
Julia de Cadenet says that, as innately moral beings, we have developed the ability to create an ethical framework in which we function. Embedded deep within this, she says, is the concept that every individual experience matters.
“The way we build our societies and the laws on which they rest are founded on this principle,” she said.
“The acknowledgement and extension of this principle to animals is the logical next step in the human story of continual betterment for all.”
